Program for June 7, 2009
LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT
As our session last Sunday was cancelled due to Nguyen Du shutting down its classroom rental service in preparation for secondary students' graduation examination, last week's program is carried over to this week with no change.

Some says that love is blind, especially love at first sight! They think that the overwhelming rush of emotion when you're "head over heels" with someone you first meet cannot be sustained. And when these feelings subside, the love will fade. Therefore, these people think that love at first sight should not be trusted.
On the other hand, many people say that your first feelings are usually your true feelings, so you should trust them. Many others also say that love is always blind anyway, so if you believe in love at all, you should believe in love at first sight!
So what about you? Do you believe in love at first sight?
Discussion Questions
- Do you think that the feelings you have when you meet someone for the first time are important? How important are they in making sure that the person is right for you?
- On the other hand, do you think that your feelings about someone should be tested with time? How should they be tested?
- Do you think that, in one year, you can learn enough about someone to decide if you can have a happy marriage with him/her? How about two years? Three years? How long is enough?
- Do you think that you can predict how love will evolve over time?
Debating
After group discussion, we will have an open debate on whether we should trust love at first sight or not.
